harry2
Hello,Does anyone know of any Anglo / French associations in the Ruffec area ( am prepared to travel ). I am told that you learn to speak French and teach English simply by sitting and chatting in each others languages --- is this true ????
Sunday Driver
Not sure about learning to speak French or teaching English. It's more of a opportunity to practice and refine your existing French in a pleasant, relaxed environment. And the French participants can practice their English, too.... It is an association to welcome all new inhabitants to the area. all european nationalities. french conversation clases are available as well as social events right through the year. you get out of it what you put into it. just ignore bugbear and sunday driver by the way i thought they were rather rude using your posting like that best of luck with your french .. tony gregson
Have a look at www.entente-internationale.com - the site of the club based at Civray, only a few km from Ruffec. Thriving organisation with lots of activities.!!!
