How is it in 16?

Is it sunny, have the floods dissappeared, is the asparagus in season, are there any local events coming up ?

I'm missing the place a lot and would love to hear some news.... Charente Libre is not enough.

Well, it's been raining/drizzly for days, brightening up now but the weather forecast for the weekend is iffy - storms and sunshine.

The asparagus is fat, tough and white, nothing like the beautiful tasty green asparagus my dad grows in Essex.

Apart from that, the vide greniers, music and springtime plant festivals have started so there's always something to go to at weekends, and we love it!!

However, take heart!! As you are based in London, I bet you are earning (and able to spend) a hellofalot more than me!!

hi I'm second home sick as well, how is everything in 85?   really looking forward to July when we return for our next visit, whats going on? whats the weather like? and how is everyone?

Yes Im  still second home sick its half term.  

I am still in England and its raining lots  envy all those who got to france for the half term.

  Here in Deux-Sèvres (79) it's raining lots - and squally winds and more showers forecast for later on (75kph winds) so you're not missing a great deal weatherwise!

It not just the weather we go to france for theres lots of friends, English and french, that make each visit worth while regardless of the weather, but thanks it does make me feel a bit better knowing that i am not missing out on the weather.[:D]
