woolybanana (ex tag)
Which means keep out of log piles and piles of stones and ruins and brambles and if you go near a stream or similar where there is vegetation make a lot of noise and fuss. Chris did not mention the dark penthete but they are pretty rare.

chris pp
Oh my, Friday evening, so, now we have the dark penthete, them little black un`s and the blummin scorpions.Back to school for me then obviously, either that or I better take up drinking alcohol to enable me to see these wondrous creatures. No point asking Tag to elucidate, it would only get worse.[:D]Hello?Chris
woolybanana (ex tag)
Saw half a penthete today down by the water hole. About 2 metres long with narrow beigey rings and a unicoloured tail. I second waited on a hot hot day for it to drink. They give a uniqure bite. Half a suck apparently because their fangs are way back. Chris you must have a foto somewhere. Patf
Roy - there probably are snakes but they don't hiss so you and your lad will be ok.
La Roche
if you are worried about the snakes get yourself some chickens as they will attack the snakes for you . This is what our French neighbour told us any way
chris pp
The thing about the chickens is not strictly true, chickens will peck at snakes and sometimes kill them and eat them, but having chickens doesn't mean that you will not have snakes.Chris
woolybanana (ex tag)
Get hedgehogs so my neighbours say and you have no snakes.
