Nick Price
My nephew and his best friend are visiting me from the UK for four days on Friday this week. One is just fourteen, the other thirteen. Does anyone have any suggestions for outings / trips / activities to keep them occupied. Both are outdoors'ish kids...Many thanks..Nick

zeb
Futuroscope (just south of Poitiers!) is excellent for teenagers. They have a website www.futuroscope.comIt looks fairly expensive but is well worth it for the whole day, especially if you stay for the light show, and food is reasonable. Get there early though - the schools break up tomorrow for the summer!Or...you could take them to Angouleme to Nautilus if the weather is good, and/or the beach at Royan. Or you could even drop them off in town (Angouleme) for a couple of hours.
Athene
Les Antilles in Jonzac. You can get day passes! It is a sort of seaside resort under a dome - Centre Park style. Has all kinds of things - water slide, diving, wave machines, boats and beach. Cafe too. It is safe with pool guards. There is also a gym. And there is a Casino for you whilst they cavort! You can make a mint ready for their next excursion! lol!

Nick Price
Thanks to all of you for posting such excellent ideas. The week went vey well except for the awful weather.... To the list suggested, I would add the Paleosite (http://www.paleosite.fr) between Cognac and Saintes. Very interesting for a few hours and mostly inside should it be raining.BestNick
