Nearly Retired (I am now) Posted August 5, 2007 Author Share Posted August 5, 2007 I had looked in local papers but hoped someone on here might say something like "try Jean Lebois in x ville, he's always reasonable and will happily deliver just a metre or two cut into 50cm lengths".Thanks Jazzer - the nearest is a mere 30km away ! [/quote] Walk down to your local pub with a piece of paper with your address written on it and ,explain you want logs delivered - the barman will do the rest! But, to be honest, it gets very tempting some times when you see masses of the stuff just laying there ready for the fire.I emphasise - "tempting". I'd never actually do it.
