Translation please

Can you clever Frenchies please give me a translation of the following from our tax office. I think I know what it says but the double negatives are confusing me slightly and I want to be extra certain!

A  la suite de l'annulation du contrat de prelevement mensuel dont la reference est rappelee ci-dessus, l'echeancier qui vous a ete transmis est desormais sans object.

Aucun prelevement ne sera donc effectue a ce titre.

It looks like you have either cancelled or allowed to lapse a monthly direct debit to pay one of your taxes. Hence the advice as to the timing and amount of the debit that they previously sent you no longer applies and no direct debit payment will be taken with regard to that tax reference. (We pay by annual direct debit and have to renew the authority every three years, IIRC).

Having no income arising in France since we moved back to the UK in 2010, I cancelled our monthly direct debit from this January explaining that we were no longer liable.

Having had a run in with the local office in 2010, I just wanted to be sure that I had read it corectly.

Yes, that is what it says, you cancelled and they won't be taking any money from you via the prelevement system. 

I did HMRC's self assessement yesterday and hit a double negative that I still don't understand. Whether I have made a mistake, I have no idea, but I had calculated what was to pay and it was right.
