PeterCD
It could be bad but the warning also states that it is not expected to be as bad as 1999.
Rich1972
It's windy here at the moment but I'm scared it will be bad :(I've just put a new canal tile roof on the attached old piggery :(Last time we had strong winds (a couple of years ago) it blew a very heavy rain cap straight off one of the chimneys. :(I hate the wind!!! :(
PeterCD
Looks like the storm passed through the Charente Maritime quickly without too much damage, etc..........is that correct?

Twingoman
Anyone know how North Deux Sevres faired? Tried to contact my father (near Bressuire) by phone last night with no response, so I assume the power is off.
Sunday Driver
Our power was off yesterday from 4am to around 8pm last night. Bressuire had power as had Cerizay, our local town. Our phone has only been working since about 11am this morning, so you could try him now.Apart from a few trees down, roof tiles missing, etc there's not too much damage around us. Poolguy
In fact, the worst inundation on record, 48 dead and still rising. Charron and Aguillon sure Mer under water, several hundred people homeless, power gone out to 80k consumers. Many regional roads impassable.Super high tide and strong winds expected again tonight, here we go again.I'd say that this one was pretty bad, much worse in damage than 99;Depending on where you are of course.Andrew
