Transferring money from France

Our french bank was taken over a year or so ago. In fact the bank we left took it over and now everything is getting worse and worse. We have been transferring money for years and years now. And now my bank debits the account and it arrives in the UK three days later and last year, once it took five days. Truth is that is that in the past, it was always there the next day and on two occassions as our transfers must have hit 'just right', the same day.

We still have an account with the BNParibas, anyone any idea if they have improved in any way at all or are they as they always were.
