odile
don't know what has gone wrong with this topic- as threads/replies are not registering properly. Perhaps looking at the front page is a good way of deciding NOT to go and live in France if you don;t want to end up in an ex-pat ghetto! OK, it rains sometimes, it may get cold - but oh- do I love those real seasons and the feeling of being the only Brit in the village!
woolybanana
Well, you can be yourself at least. But all that rain......
g8vkv
Would agree about the Wx ... but ...... plenty of absolutely fabulous places - I remember sitting on a high 'cliff' overlooking the lakes around Grandvaux and watching an eagle soar and dive ... sublime. odile
have you lived in the Jura Woolyb? Honestly, it doesn't rain all THAT much more!
Callie
Odile, he must look at the TF1 meteo too much. The worst cold and wet weather is always at Aurillac and Langres ! Not quite Swiss Jura !

odile
OK I was going to own up anyway - there are actually 2 other Brits in the village (+ their hybrid children!) - both been there for decades and married to locals! Both speak French all the time with their family. Do you know either of them WB?
woolybanana
We Bananas keep our skins sealed!! But if you see a hot little number being pursued by half the blokes in the village whilst the other half lick their wounds, that could be Randy. By the way, if you see her with a bloke, just whisper STD in his ear please. That should give her a quiet Xmas.
