Income Tax Declaration: 2012 Deadlines

The deadline for filing the paper declaration is Thursday, May 31, 2012 (midnight).

As of Thursday, April 26, 2012, taxpayers have the opportunity to declare their income on "www.impots.gouv.fr". Taxpayers choosing to make their declaration online have longer to do so, according to their place of residence (department):

     Thursday, June 7, 2012 at midnight for departments numbered 1 to 19

     Thursday, June 14, 2012 at midnight for departments numbered 20 to 49,

     Thursday, June 21, 2012 at midnight for departments numbered 50 to 974.

For taxpayers residing abroad, the deadline for filing is the same for paper or online declaration:

     Saturday, June 30, 2012 (midnight) for Europe, the countries of the Mediterranean coast, North America and Africa,

     Sunday, July 15, 2012 (midnight) for other countries.
