Kas33
Does anyone know where I can buy poppadums in or around Bordeaux? Curries just aren't the same without them. I have looked at epicerie anglaise and they are over £2 a packet. Ouch!
Dog
Have you tried Auchan or your local Moroccan shop?Otherwise it's time to make your own - best wait til the sun shines though.
Dick Smith
They're £1.49 a packet in Sainsburys, so £2 doesn't sound so bad given freightage.
Kas33
I used to get authentic ones in an Asian shop for 80p, I am trying to track down a similar type of shop here as the yellow pages is not much help.
Mops
Leclerc in Bergerac normally stock them in the foreign food section but I'm afraid I don't know how much they cost. My only other suggestion is that you ask someone back in the uk to send you some , or perhaps someone reading your post will offer to bring some over for you. I would be happy to but I'm not going until April.
Kas33
Thanks for the offer, that was sweet of you. Family do bring them over but we get through them in large quantities, I'm just trying to find an authentic Asian shop so I can buy them here.
