sasfields
Can anyone point me in the direction of a website that lists what is acceptable to take to a municipal tip? Having sorted through what the previous owners left behind we have an assortment of chicken wire (circa 1950!), wood, coal (barely enough for a cold night in December), a barrel of oil, or paraffin we're not brave enough to open it, a very old electric cooker and a freezer plus various elderly electical fittings and paint tins - the usual garage, garden shed stuff. We don't really want to load up the car and be turned away! Also, does anyone have any comments about the recycling bins? We see all manner of junk in our local ones, from old TVs to old windows!Sue
Dordogne Granny
Hi Sue, I will advice you to go to your Mairie or to the Municipal Tip to know if they can come and remove all that stuff. I don't know where you are located but they use to do it for free in the Dordogne once or twice a year. Iceni
SueSuggest that you take it all. Based on my experience in 46 at Lacapelle Marival the guy there will patiently explain what goes where and, if not very busy, will help you to unload it.Johnnot
