Teamedup
I think it rather goes, get a nounou and you go and do what you want alone. I just cannot imagine there being anything for babies, but please post if you find something. I've been here far too long and just can't imagine that there will be anything at all. Never ever heard of a mother toddler group either, although I would like to think that somewhere there might to be odd one. The only adds I ever see are for places to dump the kid so mother can have free time.
Tourangelle
A good friend of mine who lives near Paris does absolutely loads with her two children aged 1 and 3. She goes to at least three mother and toddler groups, two of which are local to her and one which is in Paris for bilingual babies. She used to take the eldest to bebe nageur (no longer possible now she has two). I know that one of these groups takes place in the maison du quartier. Admittedly this being Paris, there are good facilities, you might not be so lucky. For websites, perhaps you could buy a French baby magazine. My friend reads this onehttp://www.enfant-magazine.com/index.jsp
Ormx
I've looked around aufeminin a bit and there are often chats between mums from a specific area. Don't know if there are many meet-ups though. Haven't looked in figaro too much but might be worth a browse. http://www.aufeminin.com/world/communaute/forum/forum0.asp http://forums.lefigaro.fr/user/non-frames/default.asp?
