Have just finished doing hubbys tax form online - never an easy task!

On the final page there were 2 different figures given in green. One was the degrevement which is normal for us and the other was prevelement sociaux - what is the 2nd one for please? Is this something we will have to pay? Do people that normall have to pay tax have the figure coming up in red or is it green too?

Thanks

Prélèvements sociaux  (PS) are a charge levied on investments, rental or capital gains.

You must have declared some income under these heading to be liable.

Does that make sense to you?

What is the number of the box this figure is coming up in? That might help us to identify what it really is.
