Rises in Energy prices limited to 2%

which says that the law which froze gas prices last September has been quashed by the court, so a retroactive increase in gas prices could be on the cards.

which says that contrary to Ayault's wishes, the rate calculation has to be revised ...

You may remember me predicting large increases of the next few years. Whether the new Government will try a sort of King Canute act to avoid them remains to be seen...

Obviously they were left with a vote-catching but illegal freeze by the previous Government.

As the state is a major shareholder in EDF/Suez there may be some room for manoeuvre.
