Iceni
Yesterday afternoon it was a bit windy here in N Lot resulting in 6 or 8 power cuts, none lasting more than a few minutes. I guess this is one of the joys of France never mentioned by Amanda Lamb.Luckily the only casualties were intermittent viewing of France en-route to another 6 Nations championship, a very confused fridge/freezer and a loaf that had to be finished in the gas oven instead of the newly discovered breadmaker.John
Clair
Very windy up here too, but only one split-second power interruption, not long enough to be registered by the microwave, thus saving me the confusing job of resetting its clock... Pierre ZFP
I blame all those wind-generators that are springing up all over the place.
Kitty
Whenever there is wind in the South West of France, you can always know that it's worse in the UK. Just look at the BBC pressure charts. The isobars are always closer together over the UK.http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/coast/pressure/NB A ridge of high pressure over the South West on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
