ericd
Good morning everyone. Preparing our trip down south....we are looking for restaurant recommendations for lunch in the 3 department mentionned above (kind of easy going, good value for money). Many thanks. mint
Pack un pique-nique! That's what we mostly do now: OH doesn't eat meat and much nicer for dog not to have to sit under a table for the typical 2-our French lunch [:P]Plus, we do feel like natives when we open up our picnic table and 2 chairs by the side of the road?[:-))]
ericd
La France profonde.......We will have our Cruiser bike and want to travel an hour or so (hence the geographic specifics), have a good lunch, sleep it off on some stretch of grass and drive back home.....A holiday !! bubbles
If you want to be really typical French people with your picnic then you simply must slam on your brakes at 1200 hours and be sitting down with a little pastis within the next two minutes!Any layby will do - just be sure to stop A l'HEURE
mint
A layby is an improvement, Bubbles. It's when they spread out le picque-nique in a supermarket carpark that I do a double take.[blink]
Susan St Jean
Hi, I know I'm a bit late and you have probably been and gone but for future reference the Auberge de Bardigue is fantastic. For lunch its really inexpensive for the quality of food you receive. Dinner is a bit more expensive but top quality.
