minnie
We are wanting to take our French friends to visit the bastide of Fources in the Gers. Can anyone recommend a decent French restaurant somewhere in the vicinity?
minnie
Is there nobody in South Lot et Garonne or Gers who can advise on this?
brianagain
Having only holidayed in this part of the Gers, I don't have any personal recommendations but you could start here:http://www.linternaute.com/restaurant/home/5/62/gers.shtmlPerhaps after Fources, you should carry on to visit Larressingle (le petit Carcassonne) and make your choice from what's on offer in Condom.Brian
Saucedecochon
There are any number of fine luncheon experiences to be had in the area. Thoroughly recommend mid day eating, just look for any roadside restaurant with plenty of vehicles outside - the locals recognise good food and good value, and you will probably pay 12 Euros for what would be 40 in the evening. Lespearsons
In the middle of Fources is the Auberge Des Fources.Ate there a couple of years ago and it was fine.

ChezTinns
As mentioned there are lots of good restaurants to choose from in the area, and the Auberge in Fources itself is lovely. Condom is not far away and again has plenty of good restaurants La Table des Cordeliers, Pizza L'Origan, or try the Auberge at Larrissingle - and a lovely place to visit. Or chez Simone in Montreal. I could go on ....
