Piprob
Wracking my brain for something to keep me busy (apart from the likely demand for garden labouring and pool cleaning by herself), I have found myself wondering again whether Craft Fairs exist in the area. When we used to take the kids to the Charente, we always found such fairs. They were great fun, full of the things people can make at home, cottage industry stuff, arty-crafty as well as practical things, typical of the locality.Might there be a potentially satisfying occupation here at Quillan, I ask myself? My surveying's out 'cause I'm not qualified; my my house plans and construction drawing is out, 'cause there isn't enough demand; portrait and landscape painting seems to be covered by the existing art studio in the town;I haven't noticed any call for aspiring jazz muscians; I don't even know if there are 'good works' to be performed. What do you all do?And what's left for the likes of me, apart from doing my bit to ruin of France, a subject well covered elswhere on the Site?!Robert
Quillan
The arts and craft lot seem to attend the markets. You will of course require the mandatory ZZ-Top beard and baggy trousers and dig all that old hippy stuff out of the loft.Peace manChris
