Chrissie
I've got the chance to go to St Maries de la Mer (sp?) to go birdwatching with my sister-in-law. I'm not a birdwatching fan myself, but gather there are other things as well as beautiful scenery to be enjoyed. However, she is planning this for early November - is this too late in the year to get the best value from it? (she doesn't have too much choice on dates as she's fitting it in with other things during a trip from Oz). Also, will there be loads of mozzies at that time?Any helpful comments at all would be appreciated.ChrissieP.S. It makes a change to be posting on another area's patch! - I'm in 81 in the southwest.) Jc
The best things in that area are the seafood and Aigues Morte.
Mpprh
LAST EDITED ON 21-May-04 AT 02:06 PM (BST)HiThe whole delta is rich in mosquitos. The coastal lagoons are sprayed by aircraft each morning. These areas were malarial until the 1950's.The good news is you will probably be OK in November. And you'll see plenty of pink flamingosPeterhttp://tlp.netfirms.com
