denjo
We will be at our house in the Ceret area for the first time between Boxing Day & New Years Eve with our young family . Is there anything that we should not be missing during this period? Are the supermarkets open as usual from the 27th? Any advise or suggestions would be gratefully received. Jomo
Hello Denjo, sorry I can`t help you, but we are thinking about moving to Ceret, how do you find the area? have you been there long?Joan
denjo
Joan,We have only just completed on our house and moved the furniture in last weekend. We spent time in the area in the summer after doing a large amount of research through the net. We viewed about 15 properties in various areas and found that the Ceret area was for us because of the central position. We are located just outside a small village in the foothills of the pyrenees about 10 minutes from town. I would suggest that you spend some time there in the height of the summer and middle of winter if you are looking at a full time move to the area.We are only holiday homers, but intend to spend 6-8 weeks a year at the house.Dennis. Jomo
Hi Denjo, we have spent quite a lot of time down in that region ie. Midi Pyrenees, Pyrenees Orientales both in summer and winter although not around the Ceret region. We (hubby and two kids)are coming down for a week at Easter to have a look.Joan
