opas
Had to go to Perpignan yesterday, we finished our errand quicker than estimated so decided to take a look at an area we havn`t ventured into much. Mas Gueredo ,southwest ish perps on route to Argeles. There is a chinese supermarket there and we wanted soy sauce(our usual shop doesn`t open Monday) so thought we would take a look .I think the shop assistants thought we were mad! we were giggling like kids, why? I have never in France seen such a varied display of `English` products: Birds custard powder, paxo stuffing, Robertsons jams of all varieties, Colemans horseradish sauce(and other varieties of colemans),heinze baked beans and even ones with the sausage in! Campbells mushroom soup, Rivetta crackers, Foxs biscuits and I could go on.Not that we bought any, but I was tempted with the PG Tips pyramid tea bags with the offer logo at 89p........but they were 4 euro plus!!!! oh and not forgetting single Picnic chocolate bars, anyone tempted? should have taken a peep at the sell by dates as i can`t see the french housewives using the Tate and Lyle golden syrup or the Black treacleneed better directions ?PM me in confidenceMrs O
Mpprh
Hithere is another Oriental supermarket with a very similar range near us.It is on the N113 North of Montpellier. But they also sell both freshly prepared, and frozen, Dim Sum (Yum Cha for the Antipodeans) which is much more interesting !Peter
opas
This one also had a tempting range of fresh food as well and it smelt even better for the fact that we were hungryMrs O

You might get the bloke with the enormous wotsit at first, but keep trying. You'll be looking for it in every cup of tea after that.

Me, absolutely never. But I understand, fom a friend you understand, they are actually for Saki. And the more saki you drink the bigger the rude bits get ... allegedly. And some of them have close ups of ladies wedding tackle !To encourage you to drink more ?Peter
