Audois
First time ever the Andorra customs STOPPED me on the way TO Andorra!!!! I had nothing to declare. Andorra was covered in snow after the last few days of rain here!Got out of Andorra without a question, got past the guys half way down ... past L'Hospitalet and on towards Ax and there where the 3rd lot ... and they stoppped me .... they're waiting for someone!!!Luckily having local registration and my best friend in the car helped I think, but we were 'over' the limit .. do be very careful at the moment ... they're desperate to get 'someone'!!!! Washy
Customs agents can stop you anywhere in France, we have been stopped at Chartres and Blois on our way to the UK.We have often been stopped at all of the places you mentioned on the way back from Andorra, even up at the Col de Chioula on our way to Quilland and home in the Corbieres. On one trip back from Andorra with our son we were stopped twice on leaving Andorra, once at Hospitalet, then at Chioula we stopped in the lower car park to have a brief picnic and rearrange our son's purchases so we could sit comfortably.....we were being observed from the higher car park by a group of whatwe thought were gendarmes, but when we eventually moved off we were stopped at the top and taken apart for the third time by customs who were suspicious as to why we had been rearrangng everythng in the lower car park! It was only when we got home that our son confessed to having over the limit on cigarettes which were hidden in a pillowcase.......beware.....
