lynarth Posted August 5, 2005 Share Posted August 5, 2005 HiWe are shortly moving lock stock and barrel from the UK to our newly purchased house at Nefiach near Perpignan. We are getting proffessional removers to move over our furniture etc. However we have a small house in France which we have sold and we need to move furniture out of there to Nefiach. For this we need a van, has anyone any experience of van hire in france? Does anyone have any web address's to look at, so far all we can find are car hire companies who don't do vans, we are looking for something like a transit. At the moment we are in the UK, we leave on the 17th of September having sold our house near Oxford. We travel down to our current small house in the Aude( near Chalabre) we need to empty that as we have sold it( exchange on the 23rd September) and a transit size van would be ideal, we then stay with friends for a week at Lezinan near Narbonne before exchanging on and taking over our new house in Nefiach on the 30th, so van hire at Thuir would be great for us.Arthur Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Owens88 Posted August 8, 2005 Share Posted August 8, 2005 You can find van hire in Pages Jaune (yellow pages) which is on the web.Seems to have a 'per kilometer' charge for vans , which is something that went out of mainstream car hire ages ago.Good luck with the move.
