Lisa
I have a bank account with cheque book with the Banque Populaire. Could someone let me know how I can get another cheque book as I am down to my last one. Do I need to write to the bank in France to request somemore cheques? Thanks Lisa
woolybanana
Usually the bank just sends me one but I did feel short once and requested a book from the branch which arrived 48 hours later.Otherwise, you will need the permission of the Bundesbank, countersigned by the Penguin and you local marie(sic) when you have produced 25 bits of paper including your dress size, statement of sexual orientation and drink préférences! They will already have your new book in Branch; there is a paper to sign to say you have rec'd it.Otherwise if you set up email communication with them by registering your email address then you can go online to your account, where you will see the name of your own 'conseiller' and their personal email address at the Bank, so then you can email direct.Sue
Chancer
down to your last cheque or last cheque book?Usually there is a tear off form about 10 cheques before the end of the book that you sign and hand in to the banque.

Lisa
Thanks everyone. I will try the internet route first, I get my bank statements sent to my UK so maybe somewhere the address is registered with the bank. If not, it will have to be added to the list of - 'To Do' things next time we get over after getting my overpaid Taxe Fon back from the tax office.Lisa
