Chris
I hope to move to central Paris in the next few months. Can anybody suggest places to avoid because of crime, being run-down or just not nice areas in which to live?

fassh
Well most Paris districts(arrondissements) are different from one another. You will need to make your choice on whether you want to live in the east or the west of Paris. Choose between the north or the south and there again, factors of money, personal affinity and so many things will further break down your choice. For instance do you want a residence close or far from the metro, a school within easy reach, a commercial area or an area without corner shops?http://www.weekendvisitorstoparis.com
