Also we heard of an international school or a school that teaches in english and French as a foreign language. We visited again a few years ago and it brought back some good memories. The Church at Verneuil is worth a visit and there are some nice villages around the region.It also has the advantage of being quite rural despite its proximity to Paris. Polly_P Posted May 29, 2004 Share Posted May 29, 2004 We live in a small hamlet (part of the Cheronvilliers district)not far from Verneuil. We call it 'our little bit of heaven'! We have been here a year and love everything about it. The horses, Dog, Cat and chickens are in their element. The people are friendly and have made us feel very welcome, despite our lack of the French language! We were a bit of a novelty at first as we are the only Brits in our 'patch' especially as we lived in a caravan in the field for the first 7 months!
