Val50
Last night whilst walking the dogs along Utah Beach, my son and I noticed something bobbing up and down in the sea, close to the shore. As we got closer we reaslied it was a seal. For about 15 minutes we stood watching it play in the surf, it was such a wonderful sight. We've lived here 3 years now and this is the first time we've seen a seal here - is this normal or are they fairly common along this shore? I'm sure the fishermen will not be as happy to see it as we were - it was close to the beach entrance that they use from Viviers (they sell fish and seafood). As the sun set (yes, it really was one of those fantastic evenings) the seal swam out towards Point d'Hoc and we came home with a magical memory. Diana
ValI know exactly where you mean at Viviers, just wish I had seen them too. I hope it was the first of many visits for them. Diana
