Russethouse
If you are anywhere near Pont-l'abbe between the 8th - 11th July you may like to visit this celebration.2004 is the 50th anniversary of the first fete ever held and promises to be one of the most spectacular. On Saturday there will be the childrens parade and on Sunday following mass at the Notre Dames des Carmes there will be a procession of folk groups, musicians and dancers from Brittany and other parts of Europe. There will be many displays of regional craft & handiwork, especially the embroideries that the region is famed for.Gayhttp://www.quimperclub.org/

I loved it......fabulous display of local costumes, music, dancing and all with an infectious enthusiasm that seemed to spread right through the age groups from tiny tots to pensioners !
