confused of chalus
we make monthly donations to a French charity - not a lot but every little helps - and they have sent us a certificate to give to the tax office when we fill in our forms. I'm not sure if we get the benefit or the charity does.We have declared our income online with no problems for the past three years, so I really dont want to go trekking to the tax office, about an hour away but I cant find anywhere on the tax form to put the information. Can anyone help?Kathy
suein56
Last year I put mine on the line 7UG of Réductions et crédits d'impôt : Dons à des organismes établis en France : Autres Dons, which this year appears on page 4 of form 2042K.Though mine was a one-off payment so yours might be different.I declared online and have a feeling I either attached a copy of the certificate as a pièce-jointe or I added a note about it in the info box. This year you do not have to send in justifications even if you do a paper declaration so I would just file the certicate away.Sue
Gardian
I'm not sure if we get the benefit or the charity does.
You get the benefit. Last year it was 75% of the charitable donation, up to a maximum of €500-ish of the gross giving. Its a pretty good deal really.
