Sassy
Miki is right with Christmas in England, but the benefit of France is the build up can be avoided till you want it. Our local stores in the uk are playing Christmas music now........no thanks. I think one of the benefits of France is we have so much space for that truly outrageous Christmas tree, decorating it( or the continuous debranching and logging as your house turns out to be smaller than you thought) really is a family affair, and the price of the real thing is a fraction of that in UK. I will miss my two youngest being in a school nativity..non event in French schools, but can't wait to see their faces when we pop back to the uk before Christmas when they experience their first pantomime..oh yes they will!! Lots of English groups in the area holding christmas sing a longs, which is quite good, as carols are about the only songs I can remember these days! merry christmas.
