joidevie
Hello..I was wondering if anyone had a good link to any further information regarding "permitted development" in France? In particular, details on permitted 'structures' in gardens (eg. if made of wood/non-permanent, max height/surface etc.). I believe for example that a veranda within 20m/2 is ok - but I'm looking into the possibility of a small balcony above a garage door, possibly made in wood if this makes it permitted without recourse to planning permission..Many thanks.. Quillan
I know in our village the Mayor stopped people from adding balconies to their houses. If the Mayor has that power it might be an indication that a visit to the Mayor in your village might be the first stop and he/she will be able to give you all the forms etc you may require. Les
Most constructions over 2m² require some form of approval, make a start on this site.http://vosdroits.service-public.fr/particuliers/N319.xhtml
