Russethouse
I'm thinking of staying at this hotel for a short break - the hotels web site says 'parking' yet reviews on the web mention parking nearby - does anyone know definitivley if this is a public or private car park ?Thanks in advance.... Mantilly
The parking is public, just outside the 'Ramparts' walls.

M
If you need an overnight in St Malo, try the Manoir de Grassinais, which is just a few km from the port - just opposite the IBIS, I seem to recall. It is on an industrial estate now, but is in fact an old manor house surrounded by a large wall - the industrial estate spread around it. Free parking within the wall! The hotel is only 2 star but very comfortable - and the real joy is that the restaurant is a 'Bottin Gourmand'. Downside is...dinner will cost much more than the room, but it will be worth it! You have to book if you want to eat there, even if you are a guest.M
