My daughter is due to spend the 3rd of her Law with french degree in Nancy starting sept 2003

As we have never spent time in this part of france we dont know what to expect. Is there much german influence, culturally and architecturally, does it snow in winter?.

Are there many brits in the region and what are rents like for appartments, she would prefer to live off of campus to be able to integrate more.
