We now own the dream property(Rose tinted glasses still on)

Story so far:-

9:30 6th of May arrived at notaires office, 1hr later owned property.Changed water, electricity and paid property taxes for the year
10:30 called into house insurance office, arranged meeting
12:00 Met French owners at property sorted out water,electricity,heating.
14:00 signed up for property insurance.
15:00 opened bank account had every piece of paper photo copied in Uk except the one we needed UK utility bill, bank still ok bank account opened.
16:00 Back to house, started cutting down Jungle,including first tree(in the middle of the drive).
Retired approx 22:00hrs.
Next day came down to earth with a bump, EDF turned electricity of while we were out.
Bank holiday weekend, electricity turned back on Monday afternoon.
Met lurcher21 hope you have your boiler fired up,nice to meet you, we must have that drink.
Hope to be full time in France mid July and have 10 days booked to clean up property from 6th june.
Anybody out there that would like to meet up, we are about 20KM from Levroux.

Exciting innit? The novelty is wearing a bit thin for us now though but the house is beginning to look great! Will look forward to that drink - will probably still have paintbrushes in our hands then.
