Anton Redman
The two companies have both had recomendations over the year as of 29th October :Kargo Hard Discount in Limoges has a very limited supply of goods and appears not to have had anything new on for months.BricoLots in Perigeaux are in liquidation with a small number of windows and other junk being sold off. Hope it saves some one a journey.Anton Redman P.S. - Thanks forum admin for giving me back my own ID - everytime I meant to post this a new bout of thunder erupted. zeb
Hello Anton - it's good to see you back (but I was hoping that Isabel would post sometime! She isn't just a figment of your imagination is she??)We went to Brico-Lots in Poitiers about a month ago during their final week of them trading there. (We bought 8 sq mtrs of kitchen tiles for 17 euros!) They've been bought out by a company which trades in Moroccan furniture All the staff have been kept on (they were all really looking forward to the change) as a team.Brico-Lots in Angouleme will cease trading in the spring (2005) so there may be bargains to be had there. Last time we went there they had vast stocks of UPVC windows - all shapes and sizes! Apparently, the French have had enough of maintaining wooden windows and have fallen in love with UPVC!regards......helen
Mpprh
HiI've used Kargo for various things. They are cheap for the small plumbing things. I also bought a small kitchen from them. One word of warning : they buy end of lots for the tiles, so make sure you buy enough because you won't be able to match them later.Peter
