Leschenauds
When I asked our Maire what the 'Troue Normande' was on the menu for the free repas provided by our Commune he told me that it was something to 'make every day seem like a summers day' and on top of the aperitifs, wine and Champagne, he was right. It was a dish of Apple sorbet liberally spiked with pear 'Eau de Vie'. Delicious but a kick like a mule. This will be our 4th Christmas here and every one has been fabulous. Two years ago on Christmas morning I was sitting on the verandah in short sleeves drinking mulled wine in the sun.
