hoverfrog
well when we got here (in a blizard) we had no electicity, water, phone, heating, or in fact ANYTHING! but we're here Now we have water (even hot!), electricity, a good fire and even phone (and net today) We sign the acte de vente tomorrow (champagne in fridge ready) and have booked a meal in the routiers 3 doors down for tomorrow night. It keeps on snowing, and the draughts remind us of England, but we're here at last! Karen and John, if you're reading this, please drop us an email or ring us on 0555 69 48 35 as we've lost your contact details (over zealous disc formatting before leaving work) and Lottie wants to contact Tess...Oh, and we can paint the outside of our house without permission (and have a bonfire) according to the mairie - painting party by moonlight anyone ?? hoverfrog

Leschenauds
Welcome, We,ve been here 4 years, never seen weather like this but with the woodburners pumping out heat we can enjoy the Dickensian Christmas appearance of our orchard and woodland even though the impression of , a poor man hove in sight gathering winter fuel, on my trips to the barn can get a bit less than fun. When the sun mlanages to get through, it is really idyllic.Hope you like it as much as we do. www.leschenauds.com
hoverfrog
absolutely love it It's like coming home. Why don't they sell rillettes in England? when we were growing up it was like paté for beginners!Found all sorts of treasures in the barns - including eight foot cartwheel rims!!Woodburner now installed - eats less wood than the traditional Limousin fireplace Keep getting the camera out - it's like a christmas card whatever the weather's doing.
