Hi Lin & Dave,  we are not full-timers in France yet but have a place reasonably close to you. We have a farmhouse near Boussac which is being renovated (slowly).

We love the Millevache which we visited when we came down in Feb,  unfortunately car would not get us up the last bit to Pigerolles to try the crosscountry skiing. We need to pack snow chains next time.

We loved Aubusson, and had an excellent meal in a cafe just over the river on the right,  plus looked at the expensive carpets in the show room next door  - will order some if we win the lottery.

We are down near Boussac end of May for a week and then for just over 2 weeks in the summer, would be interested see how you are finding it as we are keen to retire to the area.

best wishes

Mike

Hi Mike have just tried to post a PM in your in box but not sure if it went or not.

Would love to meet up in May, let us know when and we can arrange something.

We took early retirement and have not regretted it.

Hi

We live 10 mins outside of Aubusson. Have been here since last July! Although we have lived in France perminantly since October 2003.  Have heard there are loads of Brits around here but haven't met many yet! but we are in quite an isolated area. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi all,

We live 10 minutes from Aubusson near Puy Malsignat.  We all moved here last November with 3 kids and mum and dad in tow.  We brought 2 houses next to each other and have spent the last 5 months renovating one of them.  We all Have spent that time covered in plaster mud paint and not to mention the cobwebs.  We also have heard that there are lots of english about but we never seem to see them.  What can i say about france well its been the best move we have made but the hardest thing i have ever done but wouldn't change a thing.

hope to hear from you soon
