restaurants around Bellac-------Chateauponsac

Hi I am new to this so please dont shout at me if I am in the wrong section thanks. I would love to live in France but as that is not possible I can only have my hols there. So my question is --we are going to Lascoux near Chateauponsac for our hols this year not been before but like to be prepared our children are staying near Laborie near Balledent so I would like to know if there are any good restaurants near either of these villages and if any one can tell me how far they are from each other. Also not food I know but We need some recommedations of any local golf clubs as well hope some one will help me look forward to hearing from you Susie

There's Castellum in chatty ponsac -  nothing exciting, but always

open, there's also a restaurant done by the old station, which I tried

a couple of months ago, and was good, but the same menu last month

suggested the chef didn't know the basics.

the restaurant in Rancon is amazing. It was dull formula, but the

current chef is brilliant. €25 four course menu - just the starter -

asperge trioligie - green spears on a bed of prawn, white apsparagus

mouse and - wait for it- asparagus sorbet. and it works !!

That'll do for starters.

Many thanks for that I think we are quite near Rancon so will be trying that one

there are 10 of us so it is quite difficult to all get in sometimes.

Better to pop in and make a reservation - they can handle it as I've seen them deal with 2 parties of 8 at the same time, but most restaurants prefer big parties to book.
