Advice needed on inside and outside stone walls in limousin

Hello we are just in the process of buying a house limousin There are a few buildings all clustered together to form one main house.The brickwork is made up of some render, some just brick.We want to match all the brickwork up to make it look like it is one building.Hope that makes sense.I will put picture so you can see what i mean.That is my first problem then inside we have stone arches instead of doors,I really dont like stone arches but love the house can any one tell me if it is difficult putting an oak lintel in and reforming to make a doorway?Then put doors back in place?The walls are very thick, but just hoped someone out there could give me some info and ideas.This is thanks in advance

Can't you just make the doors the same shape as the arch?
