WendyG
Am suffering from cabin fever! We all complain about the UK collapsing at the slightest bit of snow, but here in the Centre, the schools have been closed all week, no post, roads completely untouched and like a skating rink.Have not been out since Monday morning. It looks beautiful with blue skies and sunshine, but although I lived as a child on a farm in the depths of the countryside we were never marooned for days. Not even the roads in the villages have been cleared. Still we must be grateful for the phone, the electric was off for a few hours one morning. Thanks goodness for the trusty woodburner and candles. The French keep saying we don't usually get snow here, but I have seen it during the last 7 years and I have seen photos of a very heavy fall in the past. Here's hoping we can get mobile at the weekend. I am 70 and have to be a bit careful not to have an accident. Fortunately I have supplies to last me but it is the lack of company which is the problem, although a neighbour and children walked about a mile to visit today.Happy New Year

Gardian
Wendy .........Just had a look on the weather forecast site that I subscribe to, which is normally pretty good. Don't know exactly where you are in the Centre, but the picture is pretty much the same all over your Region.Clear skies and pretty dammed cold all weekend, then turning cloudy & temps rising. Rain Tues-ish. No snow.Michel Poisson
WendyG
Thanks Michel for taking the trouble. I normally love the snow but with not being able to get out, (local road completely untouched) enough is enough. Will look forward to Tuesday!Wendy
