NormanH
This article shows some surprising figures (although it only deals with regulated professons) http://www.lemonde.fr/politique/article/2014/07/23/professions-reglementees-le-palmares-des-remunerations-record_4461594_823448.html
Loiseau
I was not surprised to see notaires and chemists near the top of the tree, but was surprised that avocats came so much further down the line. And to see that ambulance personnel are better paid than vets. But those "greffiers" ! What are they? Seems to translate as "clerk of the court" in English. And looking at a page on that profession in the UK, they seem to earn in a year what a greffier earns in a month. Where do judges come in all this? Surely they are above clerks of the court?Angela
