Esperaza
I installed this on 3 pc's and best "over a session" improvement I could get was 1.5%......... I've got rid of it!
IAN_S
I have downloaded compression software from www.onspeed.com for £25 per year and it does work very well for me on 56k modem. It has a performance check and at the moment is at 7.6 times better. The software has a 14 day trial or your money back so worth a risk I think. Esperaza
IanIt was "On Speed" that I have recently ditched. Are you sure that it is 7.6 times better/faster or a 7.6% improvement. The highest improvement that I ever received was 4.5% ( mostly 1.5% ) and if this had been 4.5 times better/faster then I would have kept it.This was on UK wanadoo and tiscali. fr dial-up. IAN_S
Well, I'm not too sure what the figures do actually mean but yesterday both the stats and performance were both around 7.6 speed increase whatever that means!I do feel that downloads are quicker to an extent that I'm happy to pay £25 as before they were painfully slow sometimes.Just now the figure is 3.5 so......I'm on a tiscali.fr dialup and 56k modem. Blossom
I have to say that I didn't notice any difference and I'm on Tiscali dialup - the only time I noticed a difference was that it stopped FrontPage working and when I asked why, no-one in their technical office could tell me! To give them their due, they refunded me but it was very disappointing. If you wnat to use Office components, don't use OnSpeed!
Iceni
I am an MS Partner and use all sorts of MS programs including common ones such as FrontPage (but FP only for testing purposes) and I have no problem with Onspeed. It is probably something in your PC setup that is causing the problem.
Blossom
Whoever's partner you are, I think you are completely wrong! Why would I only have a problem with Onspeed and nothing else? You need to back that sort of answer up with knowledge - what could the problem be then?
Iceni
The problem could be with anything you have loaded after Onspeed, a download that you know nothing about (a trojan or other malicious download) that has occured or simply that FrontPage has become corrupt. It might be an idea to reload FrontPage after Onspeed to see if that helps. My posting was supposed to be helpful not problematic.

I could boil an egg in the time in took to log on and download before using this system.
