Teamedup
IF I had a JD, no chance of that, foul stuff all spirits, I would be knocked out. Whereas I can and sometimes do have a coffee or coke very late at night, and always have tea and I sleep.
powerdesal
We (MGLW and I) always thought we were the only 'weird' people who needed to have a coffee before bed, cant sleep otherwise.
Gardian
c'est dégueulasse.....
If there's one thing this thread has taught me, it's how that word is spelt. It's not too dodgy is it, i.e. can be used in 'polite company'?
If there's one thing this thread has taught me, it's how that word is spelt. It's not too dodgy is it, i.e. can be used in 'polite company'?
You could .... but it is really a word in the 'gros mots' category. It's like saying in UK : 'That stuff is minging' .... not really in very polite company would you say so .... Children use it a lot to mean either something is physically dirty/mucky or someone has played a dirty trick on them or someone else. Really I should not have used here but couldn't think of an alternative in French to describe my disgust of Marmite other than the Welsh word which is (phonetically) arr-a-vie! The a as in Apple. Don't ask me to spell it correctly!
Teamedup
Missy [;-)] there really isn't another french word to describe it.............. degueulasse acts as a description and an avertissement, all in one n'est-ce pas.....................unless ofcourse you like it.
