NormanH
2 things that may affect people here are the requirement for smoke detectors from the 8th March, and the suppression of the first income-tax band.
idun
And no mention of pensions going up? although it looked like some pensioners will be paying more in stoppages, which could be us, and some will be paying less.

NormanH
Whether you have or not it will now be a requirement, and so may well mean no insurance cover if they aren't fitted. Before it was a matter of common sense or precaution. NormanH
I thought it was one in each 'logement' http://www.economie.gouv.fr/files/files/directions_services/dgccrf/documentation/fiches_pratiques/2014/detecteurs_autonomes_avertisseurs_fumee_daaf.pdfThere is a sectionAnd it is the owners responsibility for those renting places. NormanH
Watching TV2 news I was also reminded that from this year you will be able to change house and car insurances when you want without having to wait for the annual renewal date. This first time round you have to wait until the insurance has run its course, but after that you can change at any time..
