Keni
Believe it or not, haggis, with mash (tatties) and swede/carrot mash (Neeps), a real winter warmer! (especially with the wee dram in the haggis).
Suze01
A mug of hot Ribena (or syrop de cassis in its absence). Always used to have one when I'd walked home from school in the winter. I've just finished a mugful [B]

Gemonimo

Porridge................................with a largish blob of Treacle
I'm going to start something here [Www] do you mean that thick black stuff treacle or do you mean golden syrup ' treacle' ? The latter was always treacle in our house -but I was corrected by my wonderful never wrong sister in law, that I was wrong!
Perhaps the confusion comes from Treacle Tart which is made with syrup not treacle. And how about crumpets, well cooked on the bottom and with lots of butter variety 'sel de guérande'?
Bugsy
Sorry, the stuff I meant is Made by Tate & Lyle and is called Golden Syrup.[:P]It was my mother that always asked if I wanted treacle on my porridge. (proper English like)I like Treacle Tart as well.[:D]

Bannon
We grew Pumpkins this year for the first time and my OH made a soup out them - again for the first time. There was me thinking yuk.... and it tasted amazing.
mint
I wish I liked pumpkins and I have tried doing all sorts of things with them; roasting, boiling, making soup. Just don't like them much. And, Sod's Law, French neighbour keeps bringing these giromons (spelling?) in his wheelbarrow for us (they weigh so much, they could easily give you a hernia lifting them).
