Gross/net pay

Am trying to decide whether to accept a position in Paris with an annual salary of €120k and cannot find a definitive answer to what stoppages would be made. Am trying to ascertain what the net salary would be, before accepting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Companies usually tell you what you would get 'net' as well as 'brut' and per month, so it seems unusual that they have not. Also your tax is not deducted from your salary, you declare to the Impots  for a full year the following year and you pay your bill.

this says that on 10.000€ per month you pick up 7700€ per month and then you'll pay tax. At current rates that'd be approximately 20500€ per year. Your tax will depend on your circumstances, so I based that on the figures for last year (which is being paid this year), for a single person. If married it'd be about 13500€ per year. Less if you have kids.

Also you should be asking this company questions about net and brut, they may take extra amounts from you for a mutuelle for your health care, for example, there may be other amounts too and 'we' don't know about them.
