cooperlola
I see that this week's Midsomer will be John Nettles's last. Now, I know it's silly telly, and not very deep or anything but nevertheless I'm rather fond of Midsomer - it's well written, nicely filmed, and full of good actors. Fortunately, I'm a great Neil Dudgeon fan (loved the series about the binmen - whose name I forget for the moment - which he was in and so much since) but it won't be the same, will it? Joe
It has been a good show over the years. Not the place to live though.I think Terry Wogan used to say that the biggest mortuary in England was in Midsommer. Some good actors have appeared in the prog'. britgirl
Having being born and bred in Midsomer (Norton) I can confirm that the number of 'untimely' deaths is no worse than those in Oxford.[:P]
Russethouse
The series is mainly filmed in the Chilterns, last week in the afternoon version I saw Mapledurham Mill just up the road. Places like Henley and Peppard are often featured. In fact I'm sure it shares some locations with Morse or Lewis.
