Gardian
Mr s G received a letter from the UK Department of Work & Pensions today. The letter was dated 23rd May, so it took over 3 weeks to get to us. The letter came from the CORBY Northants office, but with an address in MITCHELDEAN Gloucestershire. She telephoned to take issue with the contents of the letter and we were telephoning MITCHELDEAN, but the actual person she spoke to was in SOUTH YORKSHIRE (they wouldn't say exactly where). They said that it was nothing to do with them.So she rang NEWCASTLE, home of the International Pensions Group. They said that they knew nothing, but the people who might were based elsewhere and they'd try to connect her. After 10 minutes wait (happily our phone deal costs us nothing for UK calls), she was connected to someone from BLACKPOOL who said that she knew nothing either, but that she'd email the people who definitely would. They were also in BLACKPOOL, but there aren't very many of them so it would be 2-3 weeks before they'd be able to call back. Furthermore, it was really down to some other people in STORNAWAY in the Outer Hebrides to fix.I haven't made this up. Mrs G is currently on a large dose of Rose trying to recover and seriously contemplating some of my blood pressure dope!![:'(]
